Supported Independent Living (SIL) is support with everyday activities for eligible participants who need assistance while living in their home. Where appropriate, support may involve help with daily routines, household activities and participating in everyday life.

The type and level of SIL support depends on individual circumstances, agreed support arrangements and what is appropriate for the participant.
SIL is support — not the home itself
Supported Independent Living refers to the support a participant receives with everyday life. Accommodation, rent and housing arrangements are separate considerations and depend on individual circumstances.
