Providence provides Short Term Accommodation support for participants who may benefit from a temporary stay away from their usual home environment. Support during a short stay is shaped around individual needs, routines, preferences and agreed support arrangements.

Short Term Accommodation (STA) can provide eligible participants with a temporary stay away from their usual home, together with support for everyday activities during the stay.

STA is temporary support
Short Term Accommodation is designed for temporary stays. It is different from permanent housing arrangements and from Supported Independent Living. The type of support and accommodation available depends on individual circumstances, agreed arrangements and current availability.
Short stays can support participants and families
A short stay may provide participants with a change of environment and may also give families or carers time away from their usual caring responsibilities where appropriate.
