Respite Care
Support that gives participants and families space to recharge
Providence provides Respite Care to support participants with their everyday needs while giving families or carers time away from their usual caring responsibilities. Support is shaped around the participant's routines, preferences, circumstances and agreed support arrangements, with dignity, comfort and choice kept at the centre.

Respite arrangements can look different for each person
The type of respite support available depends on the participant's circumstances, support needs, agreed arrangements and current availability. Our team can discuss what type of temporary support may be suitable for your situation.
Respite Care and Short Term Accommodation
Respite Care focuses on providing temporary support for a participant and may also give families or carers a break from usual caring responsibilities. Short Term Accommodation may involve a temporary stay away from the participant's usual home together with support during that stay. Depending on individual circumstances, these types of support may overlap, but they should not be presented as automatically identical.
